Fishing Pegs

6.3lb tench

An unspoilt natural pond, each peg having individual features. Well stocked with healthy good-sized fish.

An enclosed, gravelled car park is available on site for fishermen.

Boat by the pond.

The pond contains bream, tench, roach, rudd, perch, carp and hybrids.

A typical peg.

Path down to the pond.

The pond itself is 2.5 acres, and we own 2 acres of this. We have full fishing rights and can fish three of its banks. It is an exceptionally picturesque pond and has many beautiful plants and trees surrounding it.

The above fish is a 6.3lb Tench. Last season the largest fish caught and weighed were:

  • Carp 36.7lb
  • Bream 14.5lb
  • Tench 9.5lb

with coarse fish bags well over 100lb easily achievable. This season the pond is already fishing well with large carp putting up a good fight and very active, and good bags of Bream and Tench.

The pond has not been over fished and the fish are in excellent health and breeding well. It is a natural pond and there is a small breeding pond which joins the main pond. Currently we allow locals and regulars to fish the pond as we both work.  This could easily be opened up to more commercial fishing and become a lucrative business.
